OM908 is a two component silicone structural sealant mainly used for bonding glass, metal, and other building component structural assemblies, as well as sealing the edges of insulating glass. Neutral dealcohol type, cured at room temperature and releasing a small amount of alcohol type gas.
◎ Related standards
OM908 complies with Chinese standards GB16776, JG/T475 American standards ASTMC920, and ASTMC1184 European Union standard ETAG002. It is a sealant designed specifically for glass unit panels required in buildings. It can meet the testing requirements of different environmental conditions, has excellent mechanical properties and aging resistance, ensuring a longer service life of the sealant.
After aging treatment, it still exhibits excellent adhesion and extremely high mechanical property retention rate.

Usage method
OM908 has good adhesion to most coated and non coated glass, metal spacer strips, etc. without the need for primer. To ensure the quality of the project, it is recommended to conduct compatibility and adhesion tests in advance before each project is used.
☑ Mixing ratio
To achieve good physical properties, Mix the base adhesive and curing agent in a completely enclosed mixing system. An automatic glue applicator can be used instead of a hand or portable mixer, as air can be easily introduced during the mixing process, which affects the physical properties of the sealant after curing.
To achieve the best sealant performance, the ratio of base adhesive and curing agent should be mixed according to a mass ratio of 12:1 or an equivalent volume ratio of 9.0:1. At this mixing ratio, the construction period of the sealant should be 30 minutes to 90 minutes, and the surface drying time should be within 3 hours. It is allowed to adjust the mixing ratio within a small range, but the quality ratio should preferably be between 11:1 and 14:1. It is recommended to stir the curing agent evenly before use. Due to the tendency of the curing agent to react with moisture in the air, it cannot be exposed to the air for a long time.
Preparatory work
Remove dirt on the surface of the substrate, such as grease, oil, dust, water, frost, old sealant, glass compounds, protective coatings, etc. Metal, glass, and plastic surfaces should be cleaned by mechanical methods or solvents. Use a clean, lint free white cloth dipped in a solvent to wipe the surface of the substrate, and then use another dry, clean, and lint free white cloth to wipe it clean.
☑ Primer
OM908 generally does not require primer. Before using, conduct a compatibility test to determine whether to use the primer based on the results of compatibility and adhesion tests.
◎ Protection and construction
To ensure aesthetics and cleanliness, protective tape should be used to cover the adjacent joint areas during construction. Do not allow the protective tape to come into contact with the adhesive surface, which is the area where silicone sealant will adhere. After the adhesive coating process is completed, the protective tape should be removed immediately.
Equipment cleaning
After the glue application is completed, the glue machine pipeline must be rinsed with base glue or cleaned with solvent. If the cured sealant already exists inside the equipment, a suitable solvent should be used for immediate cleaning to ensure that the pipeline surface is clean after cleaning.
Repair
If there is damage to the sealant, a clean knife should be used to cut or scrape the surface of the cured sealant, and the sealant should be reapplied.

This product is not suitable for:
